Thank You So Much!

Just a quick update on mask covers: On a small scale we've been able to donate to a fire station, a small home health, and a woman who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. On a larger scale, Sunday we were able to donate more than 150 masks combined to Aspire Home Health/Hospice and Bridgehouse (and Adult Residential Treatment Center) in Bountiful. We will be donating 50+ more in the next few days. Today I received a text from the CNO of Aspire that she hoped I'd pass along. Thanks to the many who have helped!! ❤️

"Thank you! Thank you for the incredible masks!!!! We are so very THANKFUL!!! My employees had tears for your service. I really want to come and give you all the BIGGEST HUG ever, but that will have to wait until a few more months. Hopefully this will do for now.

We also had a clinic in Ogden reach out to us because one of our nurses sons is a doctor there that had ALL their protective equipment stolen from their shed. We are sharing 20 masks with them. You have blessed their lives as well.

Thank you! We Love you all. Please let everyone know of our gratitude."

Great Progress!

Just a quick update to say thank you so much for all the help so far!! We’ve had 98 finished masks donated. They’ve gone to a fire station, a woman just starting chemo, and a hospice! We are now starting to save up for two facilities that are asking for 100 masks each. We’ve got a lot of mask kits out, and more being put together today. Thanks so much for your support!

Kits with T-shirt Fabric Ties

Some of you may receive kits with small white t-shirt fabric strips. These can be sewed on after sewing the mask. Just zigzag it on to the back of the mask as shown in the picture. PLEASE DO NOT KNOT. We will let whoever ends up wearing it adjust it to needed size.

Ready to Go!

We have enough of all materials for an amazing first round of production!! Thank you so much for your generosity! We are ready for sewers! Kits are available on my porch. We will be adding through the days for the next several! You will see there are kits with varying numbers of masks so you’ve got a choice of how much you sign up for. 😁

Introduction

Thanks so much for being willing to help with this great cause! Every day things are changing, and we are doing our best to keep up with current needs. What we are hoping to provide are medical mask covers (see the statement on the right sidebar about how those are used). At this point we are not providing to any hospitals, but to the next tier out of facilities including medical clinics, hospice/home health, etc. Those that I've talked to in the last two days don't have many masks to cover, so we have adjusted the tutorial to have an opening "pocket" where facilities can insert any filters they may have to create more of a barrier if needed.

That being said, everywhere we've spoke with are willing and grateful for any mask sewn! Please don't let concern over appearance or perfection keep you from feeling like you can make progress and make a difference!

We'll be updating this blog as more information comes, as more kits are available, and hopefully as we get masks delivered to different organizations so you can see where they are going.

If you have any questions, please contact me at (385)888-0949.
(Since I'm a mom with kids at home, I might not be able to immediately answer each call. Please leave a message or text me and I'll get back to you!)

Thanks!
